Taste of india is not far from the Cutty Sark,tucked away between Church Street and Welland Street and close to the Cutty Sark DLR station.
 Inside it is like an Oasis of tranquillity with white walls with shocks of powder blue and yellow and is air conditioned.The Food is truely indian, with Bagha Chingri and Salmon Ajwani being great choices for starters.
There are plenty of traditional choices as well as the Chef's reccommandations.The service is excellent and you can tell the food is all made freshly to order. The Taste of India is well worth a visit.

Just off the undercover market is The Coach and Horses, another typical traditional pub with a good selection of beers, lagers and spirits. It has a nice decor and serves hot and cold food and is in an ideal situation for getting a drink in between shopping at the market which is held every weekend.

The Spread Eagle (French)

Slightly nearer to central Greenwich and also with a nice view is the Trafalgar tavern. Much of its clientele come from the rowing clubs which are next door to it and although its prices are again slightly high there is a very good restaurant and also lighter bar snacks are available.
